Rail for X-CS25 Architectural Panel Subframing Systems
Use the X-RL25 horizontal rail with the X-CS25 concealed architectural panel subframing system.
The X-CS25 concealed system uses a vertical Hat, Zee, or J profile to create a 1-inch rainscreen cavity with a horizontal rail to accept back-attached panel clips. This is the most commonly used concealed subframing system worldwide. The total system depth is 1 1/2 inches from the weather barrier to the back of the cladding panel.
The X-CS19 concealed system uses a 3/4 inch deep perforated Zee profile, eliminating the need for a vertical substructure component. Material and labor installation costs are both reduced by eliminating this one component. The perforated Zee profile has a 40% perforation that meets some cladding manufacturers’ air and drainage requirements. Easily increase the cavity depth, airflow, and drainage plane to meet most manufacturer requirements by adding Xkelex snap to fit thermal break pads ranging from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inches. The total system depth is 1 1/8 inch without a thermal break pad.
