X-CS19 Concealed Panel Substructure

X-CS19 Concealed Fastening System

The X-CS19 concealed fastening system delivers significant innovations in design and cost savings.

Design Innovation: Horizontal Fastening System

The X-CS19 horizontal fastening system creates a 3/4-inch air and drainage plane depth, eliminating the need for a vertical substructure.

Cost Savings

The X-CS19 reduces costs by using a two-component assembly – reducing component costs and installation labor. It eliminates the need for a vertical Hat, Zee, or J profile by using a 40% perforated horizontal Zee profile that attaches to the structural wall. The installer levels the Zee profile before panel-to-wall assembly. The installer fastens back clips (X-CL19 and X-CL19-L) to the cladding panel and then hangs the panel on the horizontal Zee profile.

Easily Adjust the Rainscreen Cavity Depth

The X-CS19 system depth is 1-1/8 inch without a thermal break pad. The installer can use snap-fit thermal break pads (available in multiple thicknesses) to adjust the cavity depth to meet virtually any cladding manufacturer’s rainscreen cavity airflow and drainage requirements.
